Breaking Through Barriers To Success

One of the top reasons why one fails to be a success is because of affecting barriers on the way. Oftentimes, people who come across barriers to success get discouraged and gave up. The few who did not are among the successful individuals that breezed through the road to success. Usually, common responses upon meeting unexpected hindrances to success are excuses to not go on, feel frustrated, and back off. These may be natural tendencies as humans. However, they are not conducive reactions if you wish to be successful.

Breaking through barriers to success involves a great deal of careful planning, which includes back-up plans should things do not come out as expected. Incorporate anything that “fits” into your plan, significantly taking into account all the “what ifs.” What if in the end you don’t feel like doing it, what if you cannot meet your goal in time, what if your loan will be denied, what if you cannot pass the required course, or what if your marketing strategies will not work? These are just few of the barriers that will keep you from realizing whatever you aspire in your life. That is why, with utmost planning and organizing, you can improve greatly your chances of becoming successful. In which, you will experience the gust of power of what it feels like to be unstoppable.

Now you ask yourself, what type of barriers should you preplan? These barriers that hinder anyone to be successful are categorized into two: the internal barriers and the external barriers. The internal barriers refer to the thoughts you have in your head with regards to achieving your goal and being successful. Anything that comes to mind that seems to be an obstruction to a successful growth and future is part of the internal barrier. It also includes any of your fears, paradigms, self-esteem and motivation.

Every time you feel like being lazy or you do not feel like fulfilling some task, the best solution is to develop the will to commit. Commit on working whatever required task to be done, even for fifteen minutes, as a start. And then you take a break for a while, and then come back to what you are supposed to do. In the end, you will form a working habit that will prove to be efficient and productive for you. On the other hand, in the event that you feel the unexplained fear of phone lines to keep you from adhering to your marketing campaign, ask a friend to manage the phone calls. It is not bad if you are not alone anyway. Or if you find yourself procrastinating, which is a very common barrier; you can have a friend to remind you everyday of the tasks you must accomplish or do, that is if a planner does not work well for you.

Moreover, the external barriers include time, money, results, resources, and people’s reactions. These are the outside elements that you have no control with but can affect you. However, even without direct control over such factors, you can still come up with an efficacious plan to work around these external barriers. Some instances will be like, a client turning down your proposal. To deal with something like this, you can ask several questions as to why he or she turned it down and may come up with a better proposal which you can resubmit. Unexpected and unwanted incidents cannot be avoided all the time, but keep in mind that they can be covered and be improvised as if the original plan. That is, with quick thinking and pre-planning ahead of time. In anything, you must have a Plan B ready to move forward to success.

The road to success is not a smooth and hurdle-free path. Therefore, it is vital that you must be prepared to tackle such path and be strong, firm and determine in breaking through whatever barriers there are to your success.
